2020
2020
Event information: Change of Event Name, Host, and Location
The season opener 2 mile Ryan Shay Memorial Cross Country Invitational was held in memory of Central Lake’s 11 time state cross country and track champion, Ryan Shay, who passed away while competing in the U.S. Olympic Marathon Trials November 3, 2007, in New York City.
Competition is open to Division III and IV schools and will be run as a “season opener” two (2) mile event. The divisions will run together but will be scored and awarded separately as division III and IV. All Varsity and Jr. Varsity will run together and be included together when determining the top 25 individuals for awards. The top 7 finishers for each first place school will be awarded team medals.
An unscored non-medal open race for anyone and all ages will follow the last varsity race.
